Orazio Fiume
Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2000, with a a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering. Orazio is registered with the Order of Industrial Property Consultants, in the Patents section since 2008, and in the Trademarks section since 2009, and is accredited with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).
Orazio has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting European and Italian patent applications, as well as in managing oppositions and appeals, including oral hearings, before the European Patent Office. He has gained significant expertise in judicial litigation regarding validity and infringement, as well as litigation related to labor law aspects and 3G standards, both as a Technical Consultant for parties and as a Court-appointed Technical Consultant for the Bari Court. With over a decade of experience in the automotive sector and solid knowledge in the field of bioengineering and computer-implemented inventions, he has worked with various companies in the industry. He has been involved in quality control in software production for public administration, low and medium voltage electrical design, and the design of image processing systems in interventional radiology.
Additionally, Orazio he has served as a contract professor at the Polytechnic University of Bari in the Computer Engineering department, and in 2013 he completed the Praktika internship at the European Patent Office.
