Maria Grazia Cavallo Marincola
Graduated in Political Sciences specializing in International Law, Maria Grazia Cavallo Marincola is a licensed Italian Intellectual Property Counsel, registered with both UIBM (the Italian Trade Mark Office) and EUIPO (the European Union Intellectual Property Office).
She gained a wide experience in the field of trade mark protection both in Italy and abroad, including the ability to develop a protection strategy architecture, to draft opinions on preliminary searches as well as filing trade mark applications with UIBM, EUIPO, WIPO and national offices.
She deals with the management of trade mark portfolios at a world level, handling the registration procedures in all their stages, including the administrative obstacles, with particular expertise in the field of conflicts between parties (warning letters, oppositions, strategic management of negotiations, coexistence agreements) as well as transfers, license contracts and trademarks use regulations.
She has a significant experience as a pre-filing counsel, assisting firms and advertising professionals in naming projects (new names selected for becoming trade marks), developing a special sensitivity in the field of preliminary searches. She is a mediator-conciliator and has lectured in several education institutes in IP master lessons, both in Italian and in English.
