Caterina Cerreta
Caterina Cerreta holds a degree in Law from the University of Bari (1993) and obtained a Master’s in License Agreements from the Convey Srl Consortium for Technology Transfer in Turin (1996). She has been a member of the Bar since 1998.
Caterina has developed extensive experience in the protection and enhancement of trademarks, designs, patents, know-how, copyright, and software. She regularly advises Italian and international companies on the filing, strategic management, and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
Her expertise includes opposition, invalidity, and appeal proceedings before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and various foreign trademark offices.
Caterina also provides legal support in contractual matters, including title acquisitions, licensing, assignments, coexistence agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. She assists clients in IP-related litigation both in and out of court, with a strong focus on negotiated settlements and alternative dispute resolution strategies aimed at effectively protecting clients’ interests.
In addition, Caterina has gained experience as a lecturer in professional and corporate training programs on Intellectual Property law.
