Andrea Braidotti
Graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Padua, he then obtained the Specialized Degree in Biomedical Engineering, robotics address at the Polytechnic of Milan.
Andrea Braidotti began his professional career in the patent and trademark consultancy sector in 2009 first with an important Milan firm and then with the "Studio Dott. Ing. Paolo Piovesana", now merged into PRAXI Intellectual Property SpA.
He has obtained the qualification of Italian patent attorney in 2013 and in 2015 the qualification of European patent attorney to represent customers in front of the European Patent Office (EPO). Since 2015 he is also a qualified representative in trademarks, designs and models both at the Community Trademark and Model Office (EUIPO) and at the Italian Trademark and Patent Office (UIBM).
In 2017 he successfully participated in the "Course in Industrial Property - Patents" of the Milan Polytechnic accredited for the issue of the "European Patent Litigator" Certificate and is therefore authorized to represent it at the new Unified Patent Court (UPC).
His activities and experiences span multiple technological and engineering sectors, particularly in the fields of mechanics, industrial automation, electronics and software. Andrea Braidotti represents Italian and foreign clients, from highly technological start-ups to small medium enterprises (SMEs) and multinationals.
He has and extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Italy, Europe, internationally (according to the PCT procedure) and in various countries around the world, especially in the United States and China. He also has extensive experience in drafting opinions on the validity and / or counterfeiting of patents and other industrial property rights, as well as on the "freedom to operate" of a technical solution.
Braidotti has also an important experience in judicial litigation, also related to know-how, industrial secrets and unfair competition, as well as in strategic consultancy for the management of patent portfolios and in their enhancement. He also deals with consultancy and registration of trademarks, designs and models and copyright, in particular software. He regularly holds training courses in Industrial Property.
